Public / Private partnership designed to expand soccer opportunities in the Northland

LIBERTY, Mo. – The Liberty Parks & Recreation Department is partnering with Alliance Futbol Club to grow soccer in the northland with a new U4-U14 Recreational Youth Development Soccer League that will introduce younger kids to the “beautiful game” and will continue building individual skills and broadening players’ sense of team and game IQ through every level.

“Working with the passionate soccer professionals from Alliance FC, this new program will not only provide youth with the individual skills needed in soccer but it will also further our commitment tohelping the youth in our community develop discipline, commitment, teamwork and leadership through sports,” said BJ Staab, assistant director for Liberty Parks & Recreation.

Through this partnership, Alliance FC will provide a dedicated staff member to coordinate the program and provide game day supervision. The northland soccer club also will provide training and practice planning to the program’s volunteer coaches, who have served as the backbone for Liberty Parks & Rec soccer.

“We are looking forward to developing the growth of the game of soccer at all levels to the residents of Liberty, Missouri, and the immediate surrounding municipalities,” said Alliance Futbol Club Executive Brian Budzinski. “This new partnership will provide enhanced opportunities for a stream lined and proven development plan for the recreational player, all at one of the finest facilities in the metro in Fountain Bluff Sports Complex.”
